Clean Air Day School Competition 2020

CLEAN AIR DAY – ANTI-IDLING CAMPAIGN!

Please note this competition is now closed.

** Update - to see the winning entries see menu on right of page. **

Its Competition time!

All the school across West Berkshire, Bracknell Forest, and Wokingham Borough Council will have the chance to enter a competition to help promote, how “CAR IDLING” is bad for your health & the Environment!

Did you know that many people just pull up outside the school, gates or park down residential streets and leave their engines on whilst, they phone a friend, update social media, read the news, or send a few emails. Whilst they're doing this they are allowing Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) to be admitted in to the air,  which in turn we all breathe in as we walk past…….and guess what? Kids get a greater impact of this, as the shorter you are the nearer to the exhaust fumes you are!

SO WE NEED YOU!!!!

WE NEED YOU TO HELP US EDUCATE PEOPLE TO SWITCH OFF THEIR ENGINES TO PROTECT THE AIR THAT WE BREATHE!

Your art work will be used for an 'anti-idling banner' to be put outside your school, posters, and promotional material throughout your area.

Each school in Bracknell Forest and West Berkshire have been sent an entry form, T&C's and an anti-idling leaflet to give you some inspiration on what to do. Also see documents at bottom of page for copies.

Each School in Wokingham has been sent an entry form and T&C's.

Did you know that in West Berkshire there are fun ways to get to schools other than driving? See West Berkshire Council website here for more details.
