Weighbridge Operator Licence

Weighbridge Operator Licence

To operate a public weighbridge, you need a certificate of competence issued by the Chief Inspector for Weights and Measures for your local authority.

Eligibility

If you want to apply for a public weighbridge operator's certificate you will be tested by an Inspector of Weights and Measures to make sure that you can operate the equipment properly. This includes the use of any associated equipment such as printers or computers linked to the weighing machine. You will also need to show that you can record and calculate the results of any weighings properly.
