Award Winning Animal Warden Team Scoops RSPCA Golden Paw Print Yet Again

The Public Protection Partnership is delighted to announce that our animal warden team has yet again been awarded a gold award for our stray dog provision from the RSPCA.

Services for Bracknell Forest, West Berkshire Council and Wokingham Borough Council are provided by a dedicated in-house Animal Warden team, supported by our external out of hour’s partners.

Commenting on the award Cllr John Harrison, executive member for Culture, Delivery and Public Protection said, “We are delighted that the hard work and tireless dedication, of our Animal Warden team, and supporting out of hours partner, have been recognised with this award. It is important that this award not only measures the quality of care provided when a stray dog is picked up but the work that we do in promoting responsible dog ownership, reminding owners to make sure their dog is microchipped, tagged and that details are up to date.”

Rachel Williams, senior parliamentary advisor at the RSPCA, said: “We're delighted that the Public Protection Partnership has picked up a gold award for their excellent stray dogs provision.

“This highlights how the service delivered for residents in Bracknell Forest, West Berkshire and Wokingham is one of the best in the country, including provision of an out of hours service that meets the requirements of the local community and regular proactive work to encourage responsible pet ownership.”
