Reading Community Alcohol Partnership – Retailer Conference

As part of Alcohol Awareness week, the Community Alcohol Partnership would like to invite West Berkshire retailers to attend a FREE Licensed Retailer Event via TEAMS on the 17th November 2021 between 10 am and midday.  The agenda is as follows:

  • Introduction – Tessa Brunsden – Community Alcohol Partnership Officer
  • Robert Smalley - Licensing Enforcement Officer – Reading Borough Council –Presentation on the 4 licencing Objectives and being prepared for a Visit
  • Bill Donne - Licensing Practitioner - Business Improvement
  • Declan Smyth- Licensing Officer - Thames Valley Police -Presentation on Fake ID
  • Ian Savill Principal Trading Standards Officer – Reading Borough Council – Online Age verification update

Community Alcohol Partnership brings together local retailers & licensees, trading standards, police, health services, education providers and other local stakeholders to tackle the problem of underage drinking and associated anti-social behavior.

The CAP model is unique in that it recognises that retailers and licensees are part of the solution and has been shown to be more effective than traditional enforcement methods alone.

If you wish to attend this event, please confirm your place by emailing to: Tessa.Brunsden@reading.gov.uk You'll then receive and email with instructions for the Teams event. There are a limited number of spaces available, allocation will be given on a ‘First come first served’ basis.
